Jemez Pueblo - "Hay-mess or traditionally as "He-mish"
The Pueblo of Jemez has about 3,400 tribal members, most of whom reside in a puebloan village that is know as "Walatowa" (Towa for "this is the place"). Walatowa is located in north-Central New Mexico, approximately one hour northwest of Albuquerque.
This pot is hand built using the coil method, no wheel or mold used. Painted by hand with black slip. Pueblo Pottery is for the collector and is not meant for daily use, do not clean, wash or use, dust only.
